2023 Dauphin Island Turtle Ornament

One of TWO 2023 limited edition designs by Dauphin Island local, Rachel Altman.

The turtle was inspired by the nesting turtles that come to the barrier island yearly to lay their eggs. This normally occurs between the months of May and September. This year, there were 50 nests found by volunteers who patrol the beach for turtle nests. Additionally, there was an even rarer event, a Green Sea Turtle nest! This was the first ever confirmed nest on Dauphin Island, AL.
